Girona-Costa Brava Airport is an important airport for both tourism and commercial/industrial aviation, situated close to the Costa Brava, the Pyrenees, and the cities of Girona and Barcelona (10 and 85 kilometres away, respectively).

The facilities are a benchmark in Girona’s Costa Brava-Pyrenees region, serving as a gateway and providing it with an essential service. The airport has proved to be an attractive destination for airlines, and it has shown that it has the capacity to meet high future demand.

Aena has conducted several initiatives over the last few years to deal with these traffic volumes with the highest possible levels of quality and safety. The airport has a constantly improving terminal, where notable recent initiatives include expansion of the check-in lobby and passenger security checkpoints, creation of a new public access point for the boarding area, as well as an increased number of boarding gates, and installation and adaptation of facilities in the arrivals area.
