Aena Group airports recorded over 35.7 million passengers in June
The airports of the Aena Group (comprising the 46 airports and two heliports in Spain, London Luton Airport and 17 airports in Brazil) closed the month of June 2025 with 35,758,181 passengers, 3.8% more than in the same month of 2024; they handled 300,606 aircraft movements, 2.9% more than in 2024; and they transported 119,475 tonnes of freight, 4.9% more than last year.

In cumulative terms, in the first half of the year, 180,896,068 passengers passed through Aena Group airports (4.7% more than in 2024); 1,568,074 aircraft movements were recorded (+3%); and 713,060 tonnes of freight were transported, 5.9% more than in the same period of 2024.

Aena Airports in Spain
The airports of the Aena network in Spain closed June with 30,484,165 passengers, 3.5% more than in the same month of 2024; they handled 251,139 aircraft movements, 4.9% more than in June 2024; and they transported 107,599 tonnes of freight, an increase of 5.5% compared with the same month of 2024.

Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport recorded the highest number of passengers in June with 5,825,078, growth of 0.5% compared with the same month last year. It is followed by Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat, with 5,296,405 (+4.7% compared with 2024); Palma de Mallorca, with 4,230,933 (+1.7%); Málaga-Costa del Sol, with 2,632,385 (+8.2%); Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández, with 1,921,706 (+8.4%); Ibiza, with 1,259,645 (+2%); Gran Canaria, with 1,175,866 (+6.3%) and Valencia, with 1,079,810 (+8.9%).

Last month was the best June ever for the network as a whole and for 20 airports: Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas, Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat, Palma de Mallorca, Málaga-Costa del Sol, Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández, Ibiza, Gran Canaria, Valencia, Tenerife Sur, Sevilla, César Manrique-Lanzarote, Bilbao, Tenerife Norte-Ciudad de La Laguna, Menorca, Fuerteventura, Asturias, Melilla, La Gomera, Badajoz and Son Bonet.

In terms of operations, the airport with the most movements in June was Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas, with a total of 36,295 (-0.1% compared with 2024), followed by Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat, with 32,710 flights (+4.3%); Palma de Mallorca, with 29,038 (+1.9%); Málaga-Costa del Sol, with 18,045 (+8.2%); Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández, with 11,730 (+7.1%); Ibiza, with 11,164 (+3.3%); and Gran Canaria, with 10,829 landings and take-offs (+2.7%).

In June 2025, a record number of operations was recorded at the airports of Sabadell and Federico García Lorca Granada-Jaén. In addition, it was the June with the highest number of aircraft movements ever recorded, both across the entire network and at 15 individual airports: Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat, Palma de Mallorca, Málaga-Costa del Sol, Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández, Ibiza, Gran Canaria, Tenerife Sur, César Manrique-Lanzarote, Tenerife Norte-Ciudad de La Laguna, Menorca, Fuerteventura, Federico García Lorca Granada-Jaén, Logroño, Son Bonet and Sabadell.

With regard to freight traffic, in the sixth month of 2025, the airport with the highest volume was Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas, with 68,705 tonnes, 10.3% more than in the same month of 2024. It was followed by the Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport, which recorded 16,107 tonnes (+9.1%), Zaragoza, with 10,593 tonnes (-17.9%), and Vitoria, with 5,773 tonnes (+4.2%). It was the month of June with the most tonnes transported in the network as a whole, as well as at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas and Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat airports.

During the first half of the year, 150,602,278 passengers passed through Aena airports in Spain, 4.5% more than in the same period of 2024; 1,281,139 aircraft movements were handled, up 4.7% on the first six months of last year; and 637,551 tonnes of freight were transported, up 5.4% on last year.

Aena Brasil Airports
The 17 airports of Aena Brasil reached 3,660,196 passengers in June, 7.7% more than in the same month of 2024. 36,998 aircraft movements were carried out, a decrease of 8.1% compared with the same month in 2024, and 9,403 tonnes of freight were transported, up 3.7% compared with the same month last year.

The group of six ANB airports(1) closed the month of June with 1,296,904 passengers (+3.2%). Recife Airport reached 770,206 passengers (-1.6%). There were 12,268 flights (-6.5%), of which Recife managed 6,639 (-10.8%). And 4,856 tonnes of freight were moved (+11.5%), of which 3,700 tonnes corresponded to Recife Airport (+5.3%).

The BOAB group of eleven airports(2) recorded 2,363,292 passengers in June (+10.3% over the same month in 2024). Among them, Congonhas Airport stands out with 1,994,884 passengers (+11.5%). A total of 24,730 flights were handled (-8.9%), of which 17,611 (-8.2%) were at São Paulo airport. And 4,547 tonnes of freight were transported (-3.5%). At Congonhas Airport in São Paulo, 4,009 tonnes were handled, 2.8% more than in the same month of the previous year.

In the first half of 2025, 21,949,294 passengers passed through Aena airports in Brazil (+6.3%); 221,861 operations were recorded (-5.8%); and 60,878 tonnes of freight were transported, 14.1% more than in the same period of 2024.

London Luton Airport
During the month of June, 1,613,820 passengers(3) passed through London Luton Airport's London facilities, 1.7% more than in the same month in 2024. 12,469 aircraft movements were carried out (-0.1%) and 2,472 tonnes of freight(4) were transported, 9.8% less than in 2024.

Between January and June 2025, 8,344,496 passengers were recorded(3) (+5.1%), 65,074 aircraft movements were handled (+1.9%) and 14,630 tonnes of freight were transported(4) (-4.8%).
