Aena Group airports recorded almost 27.7 million passengers in November

The airports of the Aena Group (comprising of 46 airports and two heliports in Spain, London Luton Airport and 17 airports in Brazil) closed the month of November 2025 with 27,681,817 passengers, 4.7% more than in the same month in 2024; they handled 244,057 aircraft movements, 1.6% more than in 2024; and they transported 146,297 tonnes of cargo, 12.2% more than last year. 

In cumulative terms, from January to November, 356,907,392 passengers have passed through Aena Group airports (4.2% more than in 2024); 3,039,108 aircraft movements were recorded (+2.5%); and 1,396,665 tonnes of freight were transported, 7.7% more than in the same period in 2024. 

Aena Airports in Spain

The airports of the Aena network in Spain closed November with 22,543,602 passengers, 4.6% more than in the same month in 2024; they handled 198,078 aircraft movements, 2.5% more than in November 2024; and they transported 133,027 tonnes of freight, up 10.5% on November of last year.

Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport recorded the highest number of passengers in November at 5,494,827, a growth of 3.9% compared to the same month in 2024. It is followed by Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat, with 4,255,339 (+5.1% compared to 2024); Málaga-Costa del Sol, with 1,752,414 (+8.7%); Gran Canaria, with 1,417,464 (-0.7%); Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández, with 1,411,496 (+10.3%); Tenerife Sur, with 1,283,688 (-0.6%) and Gran Palma de Mallorca Airport with 1,215,491 (+1.3%).

November 2025 was the best November ever in terms of passenger numbers at 22 infrastructures: Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas, Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat, Málaga-Costa del Sol, Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández, Palma de Mallorca, Valencia, Seville, César Manrique-Lanzarote, Tenerife Norte-Ciudad de La Laguna, Bilbao, Ibiza, Asturias, La Palma, Menorca, A Coruña, Región de Murcia International Airport, Melilla, Vitoria, La Gomera, Badajoz, Córdoba, and the heliport of Ceuta. 

In terms of operations, the airport with the most movements in November was Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas, with a total of 35,209 (+3% compared with 2024), followed by Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat, with 26,753 flights (+2.8%); Málaga-Costa del Sol, with 12,726 (+5.5%); Gran Canaria, with 12,688 (-3.6%) and Palma de Mallorca, with 10,505 flights (-1.9%).

November 2025 was also the best month of November at 13 airports: Málaga-Costa del Sol, Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández, Seville, César Manrique-Lanzarote, Tenerife Norte-Ciudad de La Laguna, Ibiza, La Palma, Federico García Lorca Granada-Jaén, Región de Murcia International Airport, La Gomera, Logroño, Son Bonet and Sabadell.

With regard to freight traffic, in November 2025, the airport with the highest cargo volume was Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas, with 79,078 tonnes, 10.7% more than in November 2024. It was followed by Zaragoza Airport, with 23,360 tonnes (+10.8%); Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat, with 18,349 tonnes (+21.1%); and Vitoria, with 5,735 tonnes (-1.8%). November was the best month in history in terms of cargo at Zaragoza Airport. It was also the best month of November in terms of freight traffic within the Aena network as well as at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas and Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat airports.

Between January and November 2025, 299,141,995 passengers have been recorded at Aena airports in Spain (4% more than in the same period in 2024); 2,504,651 aircraft movements were handled, up by 4.3%; and 1,249,241 tonnes of freight were transported, 6.8% more than in the first eleven months of the previous year.

Aena Brasil Airports

The 17 airports of Aena Brasil reached 3,932,051 passengers last November, 5.3% more than in the same month in 2024. 36,727 aircraft movements were carried out, a decrease of 3.1% compared to the same month in 2024, and 11,988 tonnes of freight were transported, up 60.2% compared to the same month last year.

The group of six ANB airports(1) closed the month of November with 1,419,313 passengers (+6.6%). Recife Airport reached 839,421 passengers (+7%). There were 12,208 flights (-0.5%), of which Recife managed 6,735 (-3%). And 6,887 tonnes of freight were moved (+38.2%), of which 5,446 tonnes corresponded to Recife Airport (+35.7%).

The BOAB (2) group of eleven airports recorded 2,512,738 passengers in November (+4.6% over the same month in 2024), 24,519 flights were operated (-4.3%) and 5,101 tonnes of freight were transported (+103.9%). Of these eleven airports, Congonhas Airport in São Paulo stands out with 2,164,764 passengers (+6.1%), 18,036 flights handled (-6.4%) and 4,482 tonnes of freight, 121.8% more than in November of the previous year.

Between January and November 2025, 41,547,685 passengers passed through Aena airports in Brazil (+5.4%); 410,122 operations were recorded (-6.9%); and 121,061 tonnes of freight were transported, 21.9% more than in the same period in 2024.

London Luton Airport

During the month of November, 1,206,164 passengers (3) were recorded at London Luton Airport, 6% more than in the same month in 2024. 9,252 aircraft movements were handled (+1.3%) and 1,282 tonnes of freight(4) were transported, 49% less than in November 2024.

Between January and November 2025, 16,217,712 passengers (3) were recorded (+5%), 124,335 aircraft movements were handled (+2.1%) and 26,362 tonnes of freight (4) were transported (-7.8%).

(2) BOAB - Bloco dos Onze Aeroporto do Brasil -, which manages the airports of Congonhas-SP, Campo Grande-MS, Corumbá-MS, Ponta Porã-MS, Santarém-PA, Marabá-PA, Carajás-PA, Altamira-PA, Uberlândia-MG, Montes Claros-MG and Uberaba-MG, recorded 27,443,005 passengers in 2024.
