All the operations of the Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport are located at terminal T1 and Terminal T4.

Acess to the terminal building is forbidden for anyone is not travelling. Only passengers with boarding card and people accompanying passengers with reduced mobility or minors can access the departure and arrival terminals.

Travel restrictions in some areas in the Region of Madrid. If your travel to or from the airport must take place during a time with restrictions on mobility, it is important that you keep the documentation of your flight to be able to justify this travel to the authorities.

  • Check in. Terminal T4, departures. floor 2 and Terminal T1, departures, floor 1. As of  10 November,  check-in of Terminal T1 will be carried out only at counters 197 to 250. You may check which is your airline counter on the screens upon your arrival at the airport.
  • Arrivals. Terminal T4, floor 0, hall 10 and Terminal T1, floor 0, halls 1 and 2. 
  • Air Europa, Aeromexico and Etihad operate at Terminal T4.
  • Commercial services. Terminal T4 check in area: available the pharmacy, the shops Enrique Tomás, the Tienda del Viajero and the Casa de las Carcasas, La Bellota bar and one Global Exchange currency exchange office. Terminal T4 boarding area: available the  Botiquin-pharmacy the eateries Rodilla, Paul, Enrique Tomás, Deli&Cia (south) Café Pans, McDonald’s, Mama Campo, MQM and Eat and the shops Madrid Duty Free, Enrique Tomás, WHSmith (central and north), Express Duty Free (north), La Casa de las Carcasas, Collection, Victoria's Secret, Max Mara, Sibarium, Sunglass Hut, Naïve, Tech&Fly, El Ganso, Hugo Boss and Mr. Blue and the Global Exchange currency exchange office. Terminal T4 arrivals: Arrivalshop and Global Exchange. Terminal T1 boarding area: available the eateries Paul and Lavazza and the shops Sibarium, Hudson and Madrid Duty Free (zone B and C). Terminal T1, arrivals area: available the pharmacy and the tobbacconist’s (outside the terminal) and the two currency exchange offices of Exact Change. T4 Satellite, boarding area: available the Madrid Duty Free, Tech&Fly, Sibarium, Salvatore Ferragamo and WHSmith shops (gates S), the Enrique Tomás, Burger King, MQM and Barril express Airport eateries, and the Global Exange office for currency  exchange and VAT refund. 
  • Car park. Modules C, D, E and F of P4 (T4), modules B and C of P2 (T2), the P1 (T1), express car park T1 and arrivals express car park T2 are open. Modules A1, A2P, A2, A3 and A4. remain open in freight zone.

The Madrid-Barajas Adolfo Suárez airport has the greatest volume of passenger traffic in the Aena network and the fourth highest in the EU. In this ranking, Barcelona-El Prat airport comes in at fifth.
