Talleres navideños

At different times of the year, Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport offers a variety of children's workshops, designed especially for the little ones.

Summer workshops

Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport will be holding summer workshops for children between 20 June and 15 September inclusive.

The activities will take place in:

  • Children's area next to boarding gate C46 (T2 nursery), from 8:00 to 20:00.
  • Children's area next to boarding gate J58 in T4, from 11:00 to 19:00.

Open House Days

Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport is holding its Open Days for individuals:

  • From 9 to 15 July (both days included) two types of visits are being organised:
- Technical visits for adults at Terminal T4: based on professional experience in the sector and/or knowledge.
- Visits for families and children: aimed at children (from 6 years of age) who must be accompanied by an adult, in Terminal T2.

The visits from Monday to Friday and which are only taking place in the morning, will be organised according to the visitor's profile. Limited places. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Guided Tours

Two different types of tour can be taken at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas airport: technical and educational tours.

Technical tours

They provide information on the activities and functions of the most important airport facilities.

What can I visit?

  • Terminal T4
  • Special facilities such as the SATE (automated baggage handling system).

Educational tours

The main purpose is for attendees to learn about the environmental policies being implemented, and to be given the chance to visit the airport and find out a little more about the activities involved in running an airport.

Who are they for?

  • Primary and secondary schools, tourism schools and cultural centres.
  • For children over the age of 6.

How long are they?

Approximately 2 hours.

For how many people?

Tours, which are free-of-charge, are always organised for groups of 25 people maximum.

What can I visit?

  • Tour through Terminal T2.
  • Environmental exhibit aircraft.
  • Some special installations.

Temporary exhibitions

To encourage cultural growth as well as improve the quality of the service offered to airport users, Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport has reserved a permanent area for displaying artwork, sculptures, photography, etc., in terminal T123. The area is located in the corridor connecting the P2 car park and Terminal T2. The purpose of these exhibits is solely cultural and educational, and it primarily supports new artists and authors who need to increase their exposure. It is never commercial in nature.

Spaces for solidarity

Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport has two solidarity spaces where NGOs and non-profit organisations and entities can let passengers know about the work they are doing.

The spaces are located in the Terminal T2 public arrivals zone and in the Terminal T4 departures area.
