Special baggage is considered to be any baggage whose total dimensions (width + length + height) exceed 210 cm.

Special baggage

If your baggage is larger or heavier than normal or has a special shape, it may be considered special baggage. 

Bicycles, golf bags and large musical instruments or bagagges without suitcase with spherical or irregular shaped that can roll are examples of special baggage.

This type of baggage cannot be processed by the airport’s automated system and must be processed separately. If you want to check it in as hold luggage, you will have to do so at the special desk indicated by your airline and reclaim it at the specific carousels at the arrival airport. Your airline may also give you the option of sending it in the cargo hold as goods.
