Aena firmly responds to its commitment to contribute to creating a more favourable and inclusive environment for all passengers, paying special attention to the most vulnerable groups. As part of the initiatives developed to this end, toilets have been adapted to the needs of people with a stoma in most of the airports in the network.

The adaptation of toilets for people with ostomies includes the following elements:

  • Built-in porcelain washbasin and drain adapted for ostomy.
  • Mixer taps.
  • Hand shower with trigger and extension cable.
  • Front panel with the following components:
    1. Mirror
    2. Stainless steel hook
    3. Toilet paper holder.
    4. Automatic liquid soap dispenser
    5. Built-in litter bin.

This equipment may be located exclusively or incorporated within an accessible toilet. These toilets can be recognised by displaying the following signage on the outside of the toilet:
