Check the dimensions, weight and number of items permitted by your airline before travelling. Each airline has its own restrictions.

Check that you are not carrying any prohibited or restricted items in your hand luggage. Remember that the lists shown are for guidance, they are not definitive.

You must be there at least 45 minutes before the departure of the flight. Please bear in mind traffic jams and possible building works at the airport.

Go to the check-in desks upon arrival at your terminal. Take into account queues, police processes, passing through security and the transfer to the boarding areas.

For you own wellbeing, we recommend you keep all your medication in your hand luggage and ensure it is easy to access.

What is prohibited?

Prohibited products

  • Explosives (including detonators, fuses, grenades, mines and pyrotechnic products).
  • Gases: propane, butane (including small camping gas bottles).
  • Flammable liquids (including petrol and methanol, paints, solvents, glues and charges for lighters).
  • Solid flammable or reactive substances (including magnesium, matches and lighters, fireworks and flares).
  • Oxidants and organic peroxides (like bleaches and abrasive substances).
  • Toxic or infectious substances (rat poisons, infected blood).
  • Radioactive material (including isotopes for medical or commercial use).
  • Corrosive substances (such as mercury and car batteries).
  • Parts of an engine which have contained fuel.
  • Electronic cigarettes.
  • Loose lithium batteries (find more information here).

Important

  • For passenger security reasons, passengers should not check in or transport luggage for strangers.
  • Security staff may refuse to transport checked-in baggage if it contains a non-listed item that they are suspicious about.
  • Bear in mind that these items may be affected by more than one regulation (airport security, safe transport of dangerous goods, etc.). In this case, the most restrictive regulation applies.
