Spanish or foreigners who reside outside the European Union have the right to a refund of part of the taxes on their purchases. When departing the European Union, to obtain this refund, the invoices along with the goods described in them must be presented at Customs in departures within three months of the purchase date. Passengers residing in the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla and travelling to these regions must ask for their bills to be stamped at Customs in arrivals.
