Girona-Costa Brava Airport has a program of guided tours of its facilities aimed at schools, the main objective of which is to introduce students to the world of aviation and familiarise them with air transport.
The visit consists of a 90-minute tour of the passenger terminal and the aircraft apron. In the first part of the visit, corresponding to the check-in and boarding areas of the terminal, pupils will follow the same route that passengers must follow when taking a flight. In the second part, pupils travel to the aircraft apron where they visit the Fire Fighting Service (SEI) and they are shown the work performed by firefighters and airport signallers, in addition to other important aspects of airport operations.
Schools interested in arranging a visit can contact Girona-Costa Brava Airport by emailing the Airport Information Service.
