SELF is the first robotic restaurant with artificial intelligence to open at an airport worldwide, and it’s opening in Barcelona, at an Aena airport.

SELF is a concept designed and developed by Areas to offer travellers a new experience, using a robotic arm with a claw and five tactile fingers to manage and deliver orders optimally and efficiently, but always with the help of human staff. SELF is equipped with advanced artificial intelligence, which learns and makes optimal decisions in real time, and a machine vision camera, which allows it to "see" and adapt to the environment to improve service quality and speed.
