Guided Tours

Tenerife Sur Airport offers a wide programme of guided tours. During the school term, hundreds of students of different ages come to its facilities with the aim of increasing their knowledge of how the airport infrastructure works.

Each group of students is always accompanied by airport personnel, who adapt the visit according to the age of the visitors. The youngest visit the passenger terminal, and arrangements are made with one of the airline to board a plane. The aim is to make the children familiar with airport / aeronautics activity and show them how to behave as airport users. For example, during the visit they are informed that there are information desks with personnel who can answer the questions and provide assistance and they are also shown videos about the airport.

The student groups studying at a university or on technical course will also be attended by Aena personnel and will have a more extended visit of the facilities. Depending on the courses they are studying, they will be taught and shown how certain airport services work. The talk will also be more detailed and, in some cases, videos about the airport and its services are screened.

Visit days are usually Wednesdays and Thursdays and to ensure the greatest personal attention, the groups do not exceed 45 people. Visits must be planned in advance. To do so, please write or send a fax to the airport manager requesting a day and specifying the number of visitors.
