Visitas
Melilla airport organises guided tours of its facilities, mainly for educational institutions, to give them a better understanding of how an airport system operates.
Visitors are shown which actors and which services work to guarantee the operativty and safety of its facilities. They are also told about the value of the airport for the autonomous city.
The route is similar to that taken by passengers going on a journey. The tour starts in the terminal building and the first stop is the check-in desk, followed by the security filters and the boarding lounge. The second part of the itinerary takes place airside, where explanations centre on the aircraft parking apron and the airfield. There is also a visit to the airport's falconer, the meteorological centre and the fire fighting service. The tour ends with the distribution of a variety of educational materials.
