Itineraries
Tuesday itinerary: Primary
The visit includes the screening of an aeronautical story video in the Multi-purpose Room, a tour of the check-in, departures, boarding bridge, arrivals and baggage reclaim areas, a visit to the Firefighting and Rescue Service, a meeting with the falconer, a marshaller demonstration, and the distribution of gifts to participants. Approximate schedule: from 09:30 to 13:30/13:45.
Important: The bus hired by the educational centre for transport to the airport must remain on the premises throughout the entire visit. At a time previously coordinated with the guide, the group will be picked up by this bus at a secure point on the airport apron (airside) and transported to the Fire and Rescue Service facilities.
Maximum number of participants: 30 students + 3 accompanying teachers.
Wednesday itinerary: Secondary school
The activity comprises a general introduction to the airport, a tour of the check-in and departures areas, a visit to the SATE (Automated Baggage Handling System), a group photo in the terminal and the presentation of gifts. Approximate schedule: 9:30 to 13:00.
Maximum number of participants: 30 students + 3 accompanying teachers.
Thursday Itinerary: Baccalaureate and Specialised (VT, academies...)
All groups
- General introduction to the airport.
- Tour of the check-in and departures areas.
- Visit to the Automated Baggage Handling System (SATE).
- Group photo in the terminal.
- Presentation of gifts.
Exclusive to Baccalaureate, Vocational Training and other specialised courses (upon request and subject to availability)
- Airport Management Centre (CGA).
- Maintenance Centre (CEMANT).
- Technical basement (technical specialities only).
- Other technical facilities included in the itinerary.
Visits to airlines
- Arranged directly between the school and the airline concerned.
IMPORTANT: Participants and schedule
- Maximum group size: 30 students plus 3 accompanying teachers (only if visiting SATE. If visiting the CGA/CEMANT or the technical basement, the maximum is 20 students + 3 accompanying teachers).
- Approximate schedule: 9:30 to 13:00.
Observations
- Access may be granted to the CGA, CEMANT, technical basement and other technical facilities, provided that access requirements are met and availability permits.
Thursday Itinerary: Pensioners
All groups
- General introduction to Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport.
- Guided walkthrough of the Aena website, explaining the main services available to passengers.
- Visit to the check-in, departures, security control, boarding, arrivals and baggage reclaim areas.
- Basic explanation of the airport’s day-to-day operations and the various professions involved in running it.
- Group photo in the terminal.
- Presentation of gifts.
Maximum number of participants: 30 people.
Approximate schedule: 9:30 to 13:00.
