Environmental management system

The province of Cadíz has great biodiversity and ecological wealth, with numerous natural parks such as that in the Bay of Cadíz, Doñana National Park and Los Alcornocales Natural Park, which are found in the proximity of the airport. All these parks make up a natural heritage which needs to be protected and preserved.

Aware of this, Jerez àirport has introduced an Environmental Management System (EMS), in accordance with the UNE-EN-ISO 14001:2004 standard and which was certified by AENOR in June 2005. to be able to combine economic development with environmental protection.

The principal objective of the EMS is to develop and introduce Aena's Environmental Policy and to manage its environmental factors, To do this, it has introduced measures, each of which minimise the repercussion of the negative impacts produced by the airport infrastructures and its activities on the natural environment, trying to achieve sustainable development through ongoing improvement.

Jerez airport provides all the means necessary for strict compliance with current environmental legislation, running an Environmental Management System, thus contributing to ongoing improvement in environmental performance.
