Ban on flights originating in the Peninsula and destination Balearic Islands or the Canary Islands

Due to the rapid development of the public health emergency caused by COVID-19, the Government under the state of alarm establishes, from 0.00 hours on 19 March, the prohibition of any type of commercial or private flight originating in any airport located in the peninsular territory and destination any airport located in the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands.

Take into account that some flights are still programmed: Decree TMA/246/2020 (Canary)* y Decree TMA/247/2020 (Balearics)

* The daily flight between Gran Canaria and Bilbao established in article 2 of Decree TMA/246/2020 (Canary Islands) has been cancelled and is no longer operated.

The Alicante-Elche airport, with passenger traffic of over 12 million people, is one of the main tourist gateways to the peninsula.
