Albacete Airport is located to the south of the capital, in the area known as Los Llanos, within the Albacete city limits. It is an air station open to civil traffic.
In November 2005, a series of actions were completed and put into service (a 2,200 square metre passenger terminal, a multipurpose building, a car park and the airport access and internal roadways), which have equipped the airport with modern facilities that enable it to respond to the air traffic demand with quality and safety. Albacete Airport began operating in June 2003, when a provisional passenger area came into operation.
In 2016, the airport served 1,277 passengers and managed 408 operations.
