Travel documentation

The documentation to be provided by passengers in order to confirm that their identity corresponds with the boarding pass, at check-in desks and at boarding gates, will be the following:

  • Spanish National Identity Card (DNI) or passport, not necessarily current.
  • Driving license issued in Spain.
Exempt, under the responsibility of the person accompanying them on the flight.

  • Valid passport or Identity Document, not necessarily current.
  • Current residency permit for Spain or one of the Schengen states.
  • Driving license issued in Spain.
Other countries
  • Current valid passport or travel document.
  • Current residency permit for Spain or one of the Schengen states.
  • Driving license issued in Spain.
EU/Schengen1 National Current passport2 or ID.
EU/Schengen 1 Current valid passport or identity document.
Other countries Current valid passport or travel document.
Other countries Domestic Current passport.

2Spanish citizens travelling to Germany, Austria, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Portugal, Sweden and Switzerland can travel with an out-of-date passport up to five years after its expiry.
