Travel to other countries

Security: Flights to USA.

Flights to third countries are those that begin or end in countries that are not members of the European Union and that are not parties to the Schengen agreement.

Take the following recommendations into account when flying to these countries:

  • The basic travel document is the passport, which is mandatory for all countries that are not members of the EU or the European Economic Area (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland).
  • In some countries, the passport must be valid for at least six months after the scheduled flight.
  • Some countries also require an entry visa, which you must apply for at the embassy or consulate of the destination country.
  • Check travel recommendations for countries on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation website.
  • Check the health and vaccination conditions for countries on the Ministry of Health, Social Affairs and Equality website. Keep in mind that some vaccinations must be administered several weeks before the trip begins.
  • To travel with animals, food, medications, or other regulated or restricted goods or products, check the entry requirements at the embassy or consulate of the destination country.
