Atmospheric emissions

The air quality control network (REDAIR) examines, continuously and automatically, the pollutant levels produced by atmospheric emissions. This daily monitoring process ensures that permitted pollution thresholds are not infringed.

The network comprises three fixed automatic stations which carry out real-time assessments of the concentration in the air of sulphur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen dioxide (NO2 ), carbon monoxide (CO), ozone (O3 ), floating particles (PM10) and total hydrocarbons (HCT), whether methane or other. The stations also measure the speed and direction of the wind.

The fixed stations are situated at the departure points of runways 36L, 15 and 18L, close to the middle area of runway 36L18R, and on the southern boundary of the airport grounds.
