Air quality

The air quality control network (REDAIR) examines on a continuous and automatic basis the pollutant levels produced by atmospheric emissions. This daily monitoring process ensures that permitted pollution thresholds are not infringed.

The network has three fixed automatic stations and one mobile station that monitor, in real time, the concentration of sulphur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), carbon monoxide (CO), ozone (O3), suspended particles (PM10) and hydrocarbon totals (HCT), methanic and non-methanic. The stations also measure the speed and direction of the wind.

Two of the fixed stations are located between runways 36L and 36R, between the thresholds 14R and 14L. The last one is located between roadways M-11 and M-14 (land side)
