Closure T2. Transfer of operations to T1

The Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat airport, in order to adapt to the needs imposed by the Covid-19 health emergency and the decrease in activity, moves all operations to terminal T1.

  • Check in. All check in is done on floor 3 of terminal T1. The airlines which checked in at terminal T2 and in the Barcelona-Madrid Corridor will do so at counters 401 to 564. Boarding is concentrated at gates A and D of T1.
  • Arrivals. All baggage claim is done in the general hall of T1, including that of the Barcelona-Madrid Corridor.
  • Commercial services. The EAT cafeteria located in the Sky Center is open from 6:00am to 8:00pm, as well as all the vending machines. On the land side, the La Caixa office (from 8:30am to 2:30pm), the Pharmacy (from 8:30am to 7:30pm, Sunday and holidays closed) and the Tobacconist's (from 8:00 am to 8:00pm) are open. The TaxFree service remains operational.
  • Transportation. All public transport arriving at the airport may suffer alterations in their services. We recommend users to consult different operators for possible modifications. The shuttle service between the terminals is temporarily suspended. Access to Terminal T1 from the Renfe station will have to be done by subway.
  • Car parks. Vehicle parking is concentrated in modules A-B-C of Terminal T1 car park, which can be reached through the usual entrances. The long-stay car park, the G surface car park at Terminal T1, the T2 car park and the express car park at both terminals are closed.

Remember: travelling is not allowed except for reasons that cannot be postponed. If this is your case, check with your airline always before flying and remember that the use of a mask is compulsory for indoor public spaces and outdoors when impossible to keep the safety distance of at least two metres . Do not go to the airport more than 90 minutes in advance and keep the safety distance with anyone.
