Badajoz

Badajoz is borderland: walls, Jewish quarters, citadels and castles stand between holm oak groves and mountains, bearing witness to all the cultures that have passed through here. Among them, there are two real gems: Jerez de los Caballeros, a Templar village; and Mérida, Spanish symbol of the Roman Empire.
