Tickets
The certificate of transportation that entitles passengers to be transported together with their luggage.
Rights and recommendations: The ticket and the booking
The ticket is the transport document formalising the transport contract between the passenger and the airline. The ticket is a document that can only be used by the named holder.
The transport contract gives the passenger the right of being transported with his/her luggage in accordance with the airline's General Transport Conditions, which can be checked in their offices, and are summarised in the document called the Passenger Ticket, and which are also applicable to electronic tickets.
When you receive your ticket, examine it carefully and read the entire content. Make sure it is issued for the flight you want. If you find an error try to get it resolved immediately and do not wait until you get to the airport to do it. A simple error in the date or time may mean you miss your trip.
If you lose your ticket or its coupon or they get stolen, inform your airline or the travel agency where you bought the ticket. The airline may reimburse the amount of the ticket or journey not made after its period of validity, discounting service fees and after checking that the ticket has not been used or its amount has not been refunded. To travel on the planned flight, the airline will normally require you to acquire a new ticket.
For its part, the booking is the fact that the passenger has a ticket or other proof that demonstrates the booking has been accepted and registered by the airline or by the tourist operator.
