Departures
Departures take place from the first floor. Once on this floor, passengers should proceed to the check-in desk of the airline company with which they are travelling. There they will be given a boarding card and their luggage will be checked in.
Gran Canaria Airport has 96 check-in desks. All the destinations are indicated on the information screens at the terminal entrance.
The boarding card, which is absolutely essential for boarding the plane, indicates the zone and the gate number via which passengers are to board. Every boarding area of the airport is identified with a letter and a colour.
The airport has 38 boarding gates, organised into three zones: A (European Union flights) B (non-EU international flights) and C (island or regional flights). In these zones there are 27, 6 and 8 gates respectively. Zones B and C share 3 boarding gates.
