Gran Canaria Airport, situated in the Bay of Gando, on the east coast of the island, is 25 kilometres from one of the main tourist centres of the Canary Islands - the southern area of Gran Canaria - and 18 kilometres from the island's capital, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The airport is situated in the municipalities of Ingenio and Telde.
