Reus Airport

Reus airport is approximately 3 kilometres south-east of the city and 13 kilometres from Tarragona city centre.

Due to the operations of low-cost airlines and the 2008 opening of an operational base for the airline Ryanair, Reus Airport has undergone significant growth in recent years. In 2014 it processed 705,067 passengers and 13,533 operation. The airport had previously had a substantial base of charter flight passengers, mainly in summer.

Numerous general aviation and sports aircraft also operate in Reus, thanks to the presence in the airport of the Real Aeroclub de Reus, one of Spain's oldest flying clubs, and a school for pilots, the Centro de Estudios Superiores de Aviación (Centre for Advanced Aviation Studies) (CESDA).

In order to adapt Reus airport to future air traffic demand, Aena has carried out a series of improvements and extended its facilities. These include a new check-in building between the arrivals and departures buildings, integrating the three buildings into one. The departures building has also been remodelled for use as a boarding area.
