José Manuel Vargas Gómez
GENERAL MANAGER - PRESIDENT
He has a degree in Economics and Business Science from the Complutense University of Madrid, and in Law from UNED.
Before being appointed in 2012, he spent more than ten years at communications firm Vocento, for whom he held a variety of positions after joining in 2000, including Chief Financial Officer, and CEO from 2008 to 2011. He previously worked as the Legal Director and Secretary of the Board for ABC.
Before that, he was the CFO and General Secretary of JOTSA (part of the Philipp Holzmann Group) from 1995 to 2000, and worked for the auditing firm PriceWaterhouse from 1993 to 1995.
Ignacio González Sánchez
DIRECTOR OF AIR NAVIGATION
He has higher engineering qualifications in telecommunications from the University of Malaga, postgraduate qualification in the General Management Programme (PDG) from IESE (2010) and an EMBA from IE (2003).
He was regional manager of Air Navigation for the Central region from 2011 to 2012. He previously worked for Aena International and directed the Galileo Programme.
Pedro de Miguel Orden
MANAGER OF THE CHAIRMAN'S OFFICE
He has higher aeronautical engineering qualifications (Aircraft, Missiles and Engines) from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, postgraduate qualification from the Management Development Programme (PDD) of IESE (2004), and a Master's in Project and Concession Management and Financing "Project Management" from the Centro Superior de Arquitectura of the Fundación Antonio Camuñas, .
He was head of the Department of Promotion and Support for Excellence (CPAE) from 2001 to 2004, and head of the Spanish Airports Directors' Office from 2004 to 2012.
Antonio San José Pérez
DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS AND INSTITUTIONAL RELATIONS
He holds a degree in Communication Studies from the Universidad Complutense of Madrid and has dedicated most of his career to journalism.
He was Director of Communications at the State lottery company, Sociedad Estatal Loterías y Apuestas del Estado, S.A. (SELAE) and communications consultant at FAD (Fundación de Ayuda contra la Drogadicción) in 2011. He was previously the Director of News Services at Radio Nacional de España, Canal+ and CNN+. He was also assistant director of News at Antena 3 Televisión.
Roberto Ángel Ramírez García
DIRECTOR OF INTERNAL AUDITS
He holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Prior to joining us, he spent the bulk of his career at PwC. Having started working for the company in 1998, in 2010 he moved to the Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory Services Department. In this period he acquired extensive experience in auditing, internal control and financial reporting.
Beatriz Puente Ferreras
She graduated in Business Sciences from CUNEF, specialising in Auditing. She holds an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, for which she was awarded a Fulbright scholarship.
Since 2013 she has served as Aena's Chief Financial Officer, a position she previously held at the Vocento group. She began her career as an auditor at Ernst&Young, before serving as the vice-president of Citigroup's European Investment Banking division. She also worked for the company's Mergers and Acquisitions area in New York, London and Madrid.
Begoña Gosálvez Mayordomo
DIRECTOR OF ORGANISATION AND HUMAN RESOURCES
She has a degree in Law from the Universidad Complutense of Madrid and in 2005 she completed IESE's Management Development Programme (PDD).
She has extensive experience spanning over twenty years in the field of Human Resources, having performed a variety of roles in this area.
She was Aena's Assistant Director of Organisation and Human Resources from 2004 to 2005, since when she has served as the Director of Organisation and Human Resources.
Jesús Fernández Rodríguez
DIRECTOR OF LEGAL COUNSEL AND ASSET MANAGEMENT
He has a degree in Law and is a State attorney (abogado del Estado). He served as Aena's Director of Legal Counsel from 1995 to 2005. From 2005 to 2011 he was Director of the company's General Technical Secretariat, while he has held the roles of Director of Legal Counsel and Asset Management and General Technical Secretary since 2011.
Ignacio de Carvajal Cebrián
DIRECTOR OF INVESTOR RELATIONS
Holds a degree in Economics and Business Science from the Comillas Pontifical University.
Prior to joining Aena in April 2013, he spent 15 years as an equity analyst at a number of investment banks.
In 2004 he joined UBS' Madrid office, where he worked as an analyst of Spanish and Portuguese companies. He has won awards, both individual and collective, over the course of his career, from Institutional Investor, Extel Reuters and FactSet.
